Pete Doherty Out of Hospital, Spotted Hanging Out With Friends

Mystery surrounds rocker Pete Doherty’s health after photos of him enjoying the French sun with friends appeared online a day after the singer/songwriter canceled a gig in Nice on Thursday night, July 8 amid reports he had been hospitalized. Nice-Matin reported the Brit was in hospital but new reports suggest he never left Paris, where he was spotted hanging out with friends on Friday, July 9.

According to Le Parisien, Doherty did briefly visit a private clinic in the French capital on Thursday. Doherty’s management officially canceled the Nice concert due to medical reasons, but the Babyshambles and Libertines star was well enough to appear at the Festival Terres de Son in Monts on Friday, July 9 – and he’s expected to show at the T in the Park festival in Scotland for a scheduled performance on Sunday, July 11.

When news of Pete Doherty being hospitalized came out, many speculated that it had something to do with his ongoing drug problem. However, the actual cause has never been explained.
